On March 23, 2022, Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No 6 approved the final Guaranteed Maximum Price for a new Fire Station at 6400 Highway 36 south. Architectural design is being provided by PGAL Architecture and construction by Christensen Building Group. Financing for the project was provided by Government Capital Corporation, Southlake, Texas.
Fort Bend County Emergency Service District No.6 was created in May of 2015, with the purpose of improving EMS and Fire protection to a rapidly growing community. It contract’s with the Village of Pleak Vol Fire Dept. to serve some 24 square miles. The New Station will not only improve service today, but for the next 50 years. The Station will sit on approximately 1.5 acres of land, that will give the space for future needs of an Administration Office and Training Center.
Station construction will start Summer of 2022 and completed Spring of 2023.
The 10,000 square foot 2 story Fire Station will consist of, 4 Bays, 6 Dorms, 3 Offices, Fitness Center, Training / Meeting Room, Kitchen & Dayroom and Outdoor Patio with accommodations for Volunteer and Paid Personnel.
