Our History

The Pleak Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1993, staffed by paid and volunteer personnel. It protects 16 square miles by one fire station located at FM 2218 and Pleak Rd. and a service population of 3500. The Fire Department is a component of the Village of Pleak City Government.

We have 4 emergency vehicles, an Engine / Tanker Pumper / Rescue Squad and Brush Truck. We proudly serve Fort Bend County ESD #6 by contract to provide service to the ESD District which is led by 5 Volunteer Commissioners of the community that are appointed by commissioner’s court.

We are funded with taxes collected by Fort Bend County ESD #6, which are based on appraisals of real and personal property such as single family resident, multifamily residential, commercial and raw land.
